Chital Macher Jhol
Ingredients
- 500 grams chital macher peti
- oil
- 1 tomato
- 2 green chili
- 1” ginger, paste
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 bay leaves
- water
Method:
- Coat fish peti with salt and turmeric powder
- Cut tomato in small pieces
- Heat oil in pan. Fry the fish pieces and keep aside
- In the hot oil add cumin seed, bay leaves and tomatoes.
- After 2 minutes, add ginger paste, 2 green chili, cumin powder, salt and turmeric powder with 3table spoon of water
- Let it cook for 5 minutes. Add 2 cups water
- Allow to boil for 2-3 minutes. Then add the fried fish pieces .
- Allow to boil for approximately 2 mins and then add 1 green chili sliced and garam masala powder and mix. Add salt to taste.
