MASOOR DAL-ER KHICHUDI


Ingredients
1 cup rice
1/2 cup masoor dal
1/4 tsp turmeric powder 
2 chopped green chillies
1 tomato, chopped
2 tejpata
1 tsp goda masala (4 cardimom,1” cinnamon, 4 cloves)
1 tsp coriander  and cumin  powder
chopped coriander (dhania)
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil


Method
Fry masoor dal in a pan for ½ minute.
Wash and drained the rice . Keep aside.
Heat the oil in a pressure cooker 
Add bay leaves
Add goda masala
Add turmeric, rice and masoor dal ,salt and saute for 2 minutes.
Add 4 cups of water and sauté for a few seconds.
Add all other ingredients and pressure cook on medium flame for 3 whistles.
Remove heat.
Serve hot .
