Chital Macher Jhol

Ingredients

  • 500 grams chital macher peti
  • oil
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 green chili
  • 1”  ginger, paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 bay leaves
  • water



Method:

  • Coat fish peti with salt and turmeric powder
  • Cut tomato in small pieces
  • Heat oil in pan. Fry the fish pieces and keep aside
  •  In the hot oil add cumin seed, bay leaves and tomatoes.
  • After 2 minutes, add ginger paste, 2 green chili, cumin powder, salt and turmeric powder with 3table spoon of water
  • Let it cook for 5 minutes. Add  2 cups water
  • Allow to boil for 2-3 minutes. Then add the fried fish pieces .
  • Allow to boil for approximately 2 mins and then add 1 green chili sliced and garam masala powder and mix. Add salt to taste.
